Video Editing
Learning video editing and motion graphics. Working with DaVinci Resolve as my primary NLE — colour grading, cuts, transitions, and building up a workflow for short-form content.
- Software: DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Handbrake
- Current focus: Colour grading, pacing, and clean transitions
- Goal: Build a portfolio of short edits and learn Fusion for motion graphics
Music Production
Producing music in Logic Pro. Writing, recording, mixing, and learning sound design from scratch. Interested in synthesis, sampling, and getting better at arrangement and mixing.
- DAW: Logic Pro
- Hardware: Focusrite interface, MIDI controller
- Current focus: Sound design, mixing fundamentals, learning EQ and compression properly
- Goal: Finish and release tracks, build a catalogue
Training
Strength training and conditioning. Following a structured programme focused on progressive overload and consistency. Tracking lifts, nutrition, and recovery.
- Programme: Push/pull/legs split, 6 days a week
- Tracking: Logging sets, reps, and weight progression
- Current focus: Compound lifts — squat, bench, deadlift, overhead press
- Goal: Consistent strength gains, stay injury-free, build long-term discipline
Web Projects
Building and maintaining personal websites. Hand-coded HTML and CSS, no frameworks, no build tools. Currently running two sites:
- sebastian-fisher.com — this site. Retro Geocities aesthetic, hosted on Cloudflare.
- lastlamp.co.uk — a blog on privacy, the web, and whatever else. Hosted on Neocities.
Home Server & NetSec
Running a home server with a full security and self-hosting stack. Docker, Pi-hole, WireGuard, CrowdSec, Prometheus, Grafana — the whole thing documented in the NetSec guide.
